I HATE you, corporations!

Well, its true. I'm mad at this all-business attitude.

IN WHAT KIND OF WORLD ARE ANIMALS NOTHING BUT TOOLS?

This is what happened to bug me. After the Olympics, they killed about seventy sled dogs just because they weren't needed. Brutally killed them. Now, the business in charge is all lie "we thought it was going to be humane". Well, I've got news for you, businesspeople!

1)I don't care what you thought it didn't happen.
2)I hate that it was inhumane. But I hate the concept just as much. I mean, SEVENTY dogs is awful. But this isn't the end of it. Humans have a major case of egomania. We think that we're the most important things that exist, that have existed, that will ever exist. Doesn't the fact that animals are living things too matter at all? They can't be cast off after one use, like saran-wrap!
3)Animals should only be euthenized if they are suffering or dangerous. Not because you don't know what else to do with them. The article (which was in the Globe and Mail today) said that the company made an attempt to adopt them out. Well that sounds pretty darn feeble! Was there anything about adopting huskies on the news? Anyone? I didn't see or hear about anything (not that I watch the news very often, but still, you'd think it would show up on my online news paper thingy). If they couldn't think of a humane way to do something, they obviously aren't thinking hard enough, or need someone with an actual conscience.

Feel free to correct or contest me on any of these points.

  1. this is a really tragic correction, but, from what I heard, they killed 100 dogs. I hate it when animals are slaughtered this way!Especially something like these dogs!

  2. Yeah you're right. they updated it later in the day. I wrote that post in the morning, the moment my mom told me, and I heard the changed number on the news later.
